Carnie, running all the way to the bank!
Are we not all a little weary of Carnie's yo yo dieting? How many times can you share the journey of weight loss with the world? Heads up Carnie, its not 'baby weight' when its 100lbs+ that's a fully grown adult! She's been stapled, lost, gained, written books on the subject, blah blah, you like to eat babe, we get it. Don't we all! We listen to her bleating about her lack of sex life. At one point she actually says to her assistant 'I'm off to use my vibrator'. Gee thanks for sharing, could you get the cheesecake off the counter before we process that visual?!
Carnie's husband Rob comes across as a mild mannered kind of guy. She glibly comments that she's 'the breadwinner' (and eater) NB: Carnie, way to make your husband feel good, an ego boost like that on national TV will have him all over you come bedtime. Imagine she rolled over on the guy in the night looking for some action. He'd go thru the mattress like 140lbs of french fries.
If we're to bond with Carnie and watch this show, she has to make us care. There's something about her that, to me, is unsympathetic. I appreciate that she's just trying to make some cash by doing this show but this weight gain / weight loss angle is OLD and as for the baking business? Oh Carnie, that's like giving Mel Gibson the key to a Total Wine franchise. Why would you do it?!
We know Carnie can lose it, we know she's a bomb under that layer of Crisco (and don't tell me that women 200lbs+ are hot because unless you have specialist tastes and there are websites for that; they generally aren't). But this air of self indulgence about the whole process just turns me off. Carnie, I wish you well on your latest journey but I for one, am over it.....
Carnie Wilson Unstapled is on the GSN, Thursdays 8/7c click here to check it out.
Go for it! I remember how my wife struggle to loss weight just to have her ideal body in our wedding day.
